It’s been surprisingly cold here in Florida, and we’ve been really busy working hard for you. I remember the early days of JixHost when clients would signup with us only because of the datacenter we are in. Now most new accounts are generated from referals. We still don’t do any major advertising as we are more focused on meeting the ever increasing demands of rapid growth. All of our support is still in-house domestic (USA) and our pricing is still far below of what many comperable hosts charge. I guess whats most exciting is that our competitors have said to us, we could never do it… and today we are showing them that it’s being done.

Those of you who are on Server 11 may notice a quite a bit of boost with server power. The reason?…It’s the huge 16 cpu server thats now online! I’ve received several emails today telling me how fast this monster is. I originally was going to buy an 8 cpu core, but then decided to make things extraordinary. For those that get to ride on the JixHost bus…get to ride with speed and style! Others that don’t get to host with JixHost, ride the slow bus.

The latest updates are:

1) SSL Certificates installation completed. Our whole billing and support area is now secured by rapidssl SSL certificates.

2) Site Make Over 80% completed. Style sheets and pages are made a bit more simple, get rid of the codes that were in there but weren’t being used, give the site a new layout for the menu and added new banners.

3) Forum reorganising completed. This isn’t a play forum It’s for serious talk and questions and problems with webhosting so we reorganised it a bit to offer better support to our clients. You can of course go to http://digitbizz.com! . We also got rid of the shoutbox, no need to explain, it’s all part of the process of growing up and becoming pro.

Future updates:

1) new favicon.
2) new images for the forum, more jixhost related (you’ll see).
3) new windows server, all our currents are linux.

Today we’ve decided to install SSL Security Certificated on our servers. They are still being processed and activated so it is possible that the link doesn’t work yet.

Instead of [u][b]http[/b][/u]://secure.jixhost.com it is now [u][b]https[/b][/u]://secure.jixhost.com and in some browsers it will have a security sign next to it.

This means that everything that happens and all billing, support etc… is now securely monitored by RapidSSL (we bought our certificates from them). We hope that by installing them more people will feel secure.

We’ve also installed a new - in my opnion much better - live support chat script from providesupport.com. It comes with the same features, is more admin and user friendly, has a cool layout and is much much cheaper.

These were the two big updates for this week. Some more will come soon like: billing integration to the site, Jerett Paterson from http://shouldertree.com/ has helped us a lot in the past with the whmcs and he will do the integration for us again. We will also try to find someone to create a new logo/banner for the top because now there is that big black space on the right and we don’t like it. Also some other things but I’m not gonna spoil the surprise!

Hi everybody!

This the very first entry in the JIXHost Company Blog! We are very happy that we finally found an unique design for our site, we hope that you all like it, more then 3 days non-stop coding / designing went into it! The WHMCS (billing & support manager) still needs to be integrated but that shouldn’t take long anymore :).

Next big point on our agenda are the forums. We have some big plans for them. Our first plan was waiting till IP.Board v3 comes and then fully modify that board and set it up as one of the core values for JIXHost, but now we are discussing whether we should upgrade to v2.3.6 (which came out a few days ago) or wait a few months for v3. Stay tuned is the message.

We are now monitoring a few servers now and everything is going well, all of them are very stable and the downtime issues that we had in the past are now gone! If however you have any problems, you can contact us always here.
